Anti-terrorism and security cooperation are on the common agenda of China-Afghanistan bilateral talks, as both countries face the threat of terrorism. He said long-term stability in the region requires regional efforts to prevent terrorism from growing.
"It"s important that we look at where the terrorism stems from and the root causes of terrorist activity and areas where they get training and support. Then we can work together to cooperate with each other, sharing information and expanding our understanding of terror threats," he said.
Efforts for a negotiated settlement have gathered pace in recent weeks, even as reports that US President Donald Trump plans to withdraw thousands of US troops triggered uncertainty.
Mohib said that withdrawal of US troops has not significantly impacted the security situation of Afghanistan, for Afghan National Defense Security Forces have taken the lead and fought against terrorist groups in Afghanistan since 2014.
